EEI Water Conservation:
4th ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMIT (April 7th, 2018)
The Theme of this year’s summit, Water Conservation: Making a Difference, reflects the vision and mission of the City of Dallas Environmental Education Initiative. The summit will provide an opportunity for teams of Dallas High School students to propose experimental projects which foster urban water conservation. Posters outlining each team’s water conservation project will be reviewed by University professors and water conservation professionals during the Summit. Competitive funding will be available for (at minimum) 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place projects!! All participating students will receive messenger bags, padfolios and a shirt.
The Projects: research projects with results conducted in Year 3 (2017-2018), will present at the 4th Annual EEI Summit on April 9th 2018. Additional ongoing and/or new high school teams will have the opportunity to propose their experimental projects at this year’s Annual EEI Summit. Proposing teams granted funding will develop their research through 2018-2019 and present their results at next year’s 5th Summit 2019. All posters have to be submitted electronically in advance, if no issues are found, then they will be printed by the EEI staff.

-Live or attend a high school in Dallas
-Students under 18 must upload parental permission with the posters
-Upload posters before March 9th
-Students must me present on April 7th to present the proposing project
-Must be 48x 36. You can use our template or create your own but keep these dimensions otherwise it won’t be printed.
-Document has to be in a PowerPoint format and be uploaded in the link below.
-Will contain: name of group, names of students, lead teacher and school; also abstract, introduction, questions, rationale, methods, discussion, budged needed and references.
