Today, 69 2nd graders at La Academia de Estrellas Charter School promised to continue doing one small action that will lead to big results! Each student promised to turn the water off each time they brush their teeth.
This means that if each student brushes his or her teeth for 2 minutes, he or she can save approximately 5 gallons every single time!
If a student brushes their teeth twice a day, how many gallons can they save? 10 gallons a day!
- take a 5 minute shower instead of a bath
- only water your lawn twice a week
- only wash full loads of clothes and dishes at a time
- turn off the water when you’re soaping up your hands
