Conference Style Research Summit
Propose a Water Conservation Project In August
The first step is the proposal. What kind of project will you do on your campus to learn more about water conservation and water quality? A team of College Professors and Water Professionals will work with you to determine if your project will be funded.
Present Project Findings at the EEI Summit in the Spring
After funding, you will receive materials you need to do the work! Perform the research and track your progress to present at the summit in the spring semester. There, you have the opportunity to place based on your research!

Send us your proposal
Send the EEI Team your proposal for a water conservation or water quality project you’d like to do on your campus. The proposal should include the justification, objectives, materials, and potential budget of your project.
You’ll submit your proposal to the EEI Team no later than August 23rd, 2024 and the team will review your proposal and send questions for clarification and let you know about funding awards.
Previous Summit Poster
Once Funded… Do the Research and Build Your Poster
EEI will deliver materials to do your research! Do the research during the fall and beginning of the spring semester, taking notes and pictures… THEN, Build a conference style poster laying out your results to present at the Summit. Your poster should include methodology, results, conclusions, etc.
You’ll submit your poster to the EEI Team no later than April 1st, 2022 and the team will print your poster for you to present.

Present your poster in April at the Summit. Talk to University Professors and Graduate Students as well as Water Professionals from the City of Dallas.
Bring with you any lab notebooks, research journals, and other materials used to build your proposal or used to complete your project.
Winning projects will be announced at the Summit after lunch.

Poster guidelines:
-must be 36”X48”
-must include Project title, Student names, School Name, Intro, Methods, Variables, Budget, Conclusion, Results , References
Parental Permission
During the research summit we will be taking pictures for our website and social media. Please fill out the parental permission form and email it to us.
